At least 24 killed in latest US strikes on Iran, Iranian reports say

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 13, At least 24 people have been reported killed in Iran following the latest round of US strikes, according to Iranian officials and media reports. The new attacks have further escalated tensions between Washington and Tehran amid ongoing disputes over regional security and the Strait of Hormuz.

Four additional deaths were reported in the latest incidents. US missiles struck three locations in the city of Abadan in Khuzestan province, killing two people and injuring three others, according to Iranian media.

In the city of Nain, located in Isfahan province, one person was killed after a US strike targeted a military base, the deputy governor of the province said.

Another US strike hit an agricultural water pumping station in Mahshahr, killing one person and injuring four, Iranian media reported.

The latest casualties come as US and Iranian forces continue exchanging attacks, raising fears of a wider regional escalation. The conflict has also increased concerns over energy security and the stability of international shipping routes, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz.
