BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 8, French President Emmanuel Macron has said that Iran's strikes on US military bases violated the interim memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington.
Speaking on the latest developments, Macron described Iran's decision to launch the attacks as a "mistake," while expressing confidence that diplomatic efforts between the two countries would continue.
The French president stressed that dialogue remains essential despite the recent escalation and said negotiations between Iran and the United States are expected to proceed.
Macron's remarks came amid heightened regional tensions following renewed military exchanges between Washington and Tehran.
