BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 1. Indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States are continuing in Doha, with Qatari mediators facilitating contacts between the two sides.
Iranian officials are in the Qatari capital one day after US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met with Qatar's Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
Washington says technical discussions with Tehran remain under way.
Iran, however, maintains that it is not holding direct face-to-face talks with US officials and insists the current discussions are focused solely on implementing the interim memorandum of understanding, including the release of frozen Iranian assets.
Alex Vatanka of the Middle East Institute told Al Jazeera that skepticism is growing inside Iran over whether the agreement will be fully implemented.
"This MoU sounds impressive on paper, but where is the action?" Vatanka said.
