BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 30. Iran has no plans to hold talks with US officials in Doha in the coming days, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said.
Speaking to reporters, Baghaei said the Iranian side is not planning any meeting with American representatives “at any level” in the near future.
He noted that the expected discussions in Doha would focus on the implementation of clauses of the memorandum of understanding, including the provision related to the release of Iran’s restricted assets.
According to Baghaei, those talks will be held with Qatari officials, not with the US side.
His remarks came after Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson said earlier that $6 billion of Iran’s frozen funds in Qatar had not yet been transferred to Tehran.
