BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29. Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei says the implementation of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the United States is progressing, with both oil-related measures and the release of frozen Iranian assets moving forward.
Speaking to reporters, Baghaei said the United States has issued the necessary authorizations under Article 10 of the MoU, which relates to the sale of Iranian oil.
He noted that Tehran is closely monitoring the implementation of those commitments.
According to Baghaei, the process of releasing Iran's frozen assets is also under way.
He stressed that negotiations on a final agreement between the two sides have not yet begun.
Baghaei also clarified that any visit by US representatives to Qatar is unrelated to the Iranian delegation's trip, which is aimed solely at following up on the implementation of the memorandum, including Article 11.
