BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29. Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has stated that there are currently no plans for direct meetings with US officials from the “technical teams” in Qatar this week.
TurkicWorld reports that speaking to the Tasnim news agency, Gharibabadi clarified that although consultations with Qatar are ongoing — including follow-ups on the implementation of commitments by the other party — reports in some media claiming that technical talks would take place in Doha cannot be confirmed.
He added that the first round of technical discussions under the framework of designated working groups will occur only when conditions are met and an agreement on the date and location is reached. Consultations continue through intermediary countries to coordinate these talks.
