Iran adviser warns US of ‘swift and decisive response’ over Strait of Hormuz tensions

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 27. Mohsen Rezaei, adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, has accused the United States of violating Article 5 of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) related to maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz.

TurkicWorld reports that in a statement posted on X, Rezaei said the MoU stipulates that safe passage for commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz must be restored, while also outlining discussions between Iran and Oman regarding the future administration and maritime services of the waterway.
