Israel Iran Lebanon Middle East ceasefire Casualties

Lebanon death toll from Israeli attacks rises to 4,243

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 26. The Lebanese Ministry of Health has announced that the death toll from Israeli attacks since March 2 has risen to 4,243, while 12,186 people have been wounded.

TurkicWorld reports that according to the ministry, the latest figures reflect the cumulative impact of ongoing hostilities across Lebanon, with rescue and medical teams continuing to respond to the humanitarian consequences of the conflict.

Meanwhile, Israeli officials have reiterated that Israeli forces will remain in Lebanon despite Iran's position that Israel is required to withdraw under the terms of the interim US-Iran ceasefire agreement, which also includes provisions related to Lebanon.

The differing interpretations of the ceasefire agreement continue to fuel uncertainty over the future security situation along the Lebanese border.
