Trump warns Iran over nuclear ambitions, says deal guarantees no nuclear weapon

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 16. US President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran, stating that severe consequences would follow if Tehran attempts to develop a nuclear weapon.

TurkicWorld reports that speaking to reporters at the G7 summit in France, Trump said the newly announced agreement with Iran explicitly ensures that the country will not obtain nuclear weapons.

“The only thing that really matters to me is Iran will never have a nuclear weapon, and it says it loud and clear,” he said.

He added that any attempt by Iran to pursue nuclear arms would trigger a forceful response, stating: “All hell will rain down on Iran” if the Islamic Republic moves toward acquiring a nuclear weapon.

The comments underscore the central role of nuclear non-proliferation in the US-Iran agreement, which Washington has presented as a key step toward reducing regional tensions and preventing escalation in the Middle East.

Iranian officials have consistently denied seeking nuclear weapons, maintaining that the country’s nuclear programme is intended for peaceful energy and civilian purposes.
