Pakistan discusses us-iran diplomatic talks with switzerland

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 13. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has held a telephone conversation with his Swiss counterpart following Switzerland’s proposal to host the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran, according to Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry.

TurkicWorld reports that Islamabad has played a key mediating role in facilitating US-Iran talks aimed at de-escalating regional tensions and working toward ending the conflict.

During the discussion with Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, Dar welcomed what he described as “encouraging progress” toward an understanding between Washington and Tehran.

Both sides expressed hope that ongoing diplomatic efforts would contribute to peace and stability in the region and agreed to maintain close contact going forward.
