BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 12. Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, deputy coordinator of the Iranian army, stated that the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding waters, including the Persian Gulf, are firmly under the control of Iran’s IRGC Navy.
TurkicWorld reports that he emphasized that no vessel may enter without permission, asserting continued Iranian naval power in the region.
Sayyari also responded to US claims that Iran’s navy had been damaged, challenging the assertions and reiterating that Iran maintains operational strength and influence over the Gulf.
