China calls for military action in the Middle East to stop

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 11. Beijing – China’s Foreign Ministry has urged an immediate halt to military operations in the Middle East following recent US strikes on Iran and subsequent responses from Tehran.

TurkicWorld reports that spokesman Lin Jian told reporters, “China strongly urges the relevant parties to immediately cease military operations, return to dialogue and negotiation, respond to the mediation efforts of relevant countries and achieve a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire as soon as possible,” according to AFP.

Reuters reported that the ministry also emphasized the need to respect the security and sovereignty of all regional countries amid ongoing tensions.
