BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 11. Rome – Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has stated that the European Union should be prepared to implement new sanctions on Iran if the crisis in the Middle East persists.
TurkicWorld reports that speaking in parliament, Meloni emphasized: “If Tehran continues down the wrong path…the EU must be ready to increase pressure through new targeted measures.”
In addition, Reuters reported that the Prime Minister criticised Israel’s far-right Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir for comments regarding Italy, describing them as “unacceptable for Italy and also undignified for Israel.”
