China urges parties to uphold ceasefire after US strikes on Iran

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 26. Beijing urged Tehran and Washington to adhere to the ceasefire agreement following reports of renewed tensions linked to the US-Israeli conflict involving Iran.

TurkicWorld reports that Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning stated during a press briefing that all relevant parties should honor their commitments and avoid actions that could further escalate the situation.

According to the statement, China emphasized the importance of resolving disputes through peaceful means and called for efforts aimed at restoring stability and peace as quickly as possible.

The remarks came amid reports of multiple alleged ceasefire violations, including claims of attacks on missile facilities in southern Iran and incidents involving fast-moving boats in the Strait of Hormuz.
