Iran Supports China’s Middle East peace initiative

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 11. Iran has announced its support for Chinese President Xi Jinping’s four-point initiative aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East. TurkicWorld reports that the statement was made by Iran’s ambassador to China, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli.

The diplomat said Tehran positively views Beijing’s plan focused on strengthening security and cooperation in the region. According to him, Iran’s support for the initiative is intended to help ensure sustainable security and shared development in the Persian Gulf region.

Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli noted that the issue was also given special attention during talks between the foreign ministers of Iran and China.

It should be recalled that Chinese President Xi Jinping previously presented the four-point plan aimed at preserving peace and stability in the Middle East during a meeting in Beijing with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

In recent years, Beijing has increased its diplomatic activity in the Middle East and is seeking to play a more active role in promoting dialogue and stability among regional countries.
