The Interior Ministry announced on Wednesday that following a surveillance operation police and anti-narcotic units arrested a drug ringleader, identified by the initials “H.E.,” and four associates. Authorities in Syria continue to fight against drug production, dealing and trafficking, cooperating with neighboring countries such as Jordan, Turkiye and Iraq to dismantle criminal networks.
