BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 10. A special joint fire safety exercise was conducted at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in cooperation with the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The exercise aimed to enhance the effectiveness of fire safety measures at the airport and ensure a swift and efficient response to emergency situations. Additionally, the event strengthened cooperation and coordination between the airport and state agencies during rescue operations.
According to the scenario, a simulated report of a fire in the passenger terminals and parking area of Baku Airport was received. An immediate operational simulation was conducted, during which all necessary measures were taken to ensure fire safety. The exercise involved firefighting and rescue teams equipped with specialized equipment from AZAL CJSC's Aviation Security Department, medical personnel, as well as the staff of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Additionally, the drills included special operations focused on the elimination of emergency situations, fire extinguishing, and the safe evacuation of passengers from the aircraft in case of an aviation accident. All tasks during the simulations were carried out with a high level of professionalism, and the set objectives were fully accomplished.
