During the talks, both sides reviewed the progress of the IsDB Country Strategy for Uzbekistan for 2022-2026. Overall, investment inflows are progressing according to plan, having reached 50% of the total $1.2 billion target set for the end of 2026. Furthermore, private sector support projects, implemented by the IsDB's subsidiary ITFC (International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation), are advancing faster than expected, achieving 90% of planned targets—two years ahead of schedule.
The parties also discussed the next steps for implementing new collaborative projects in energy, transport infrastructure, irrigation and water resource management, education, and healthcare under public-private partnership (PPP) frameworks.
IsDB leadership reiterated their commitment to fully supporting these initiatives, including additional funding for innovation and technological upgrades as Uzbekistan progresses toward a "green" economy.
