On October 3, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Khaidarov met with Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia Sandiaga Salohiddin Uno, TurkicWorld reports.
According to the information, Salokhiddin Uno expressed high appreciation for the organization and holding of the World Conference on Creative Economy in Tashkent, emphasizing that the forum has become a key platform for discussing social and economic challenges associated with rapid technological changes, as well as the role of creative industries in ensuring a sustainable future.
It is reported that the parties discussed the further development of Uzbek-Indonesian relations and prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation.
There was expressed interest in intensifying political dialogue, strengthening interaction between business circles, and exchanging experiences in the field of the halal industry and creative economy.
The Indonesian minister noted that the opening of Sukarno Park in Samarkand in September 2024 was an important step in strengthening friendly ties between Uzbekistan and Indonesia.
The meeting also discussed the need to increase tourist exchanges, especially in the field of ziyarat tourism, and worked out practical aspects of joint projects.
