TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 17. Uzbekistan has proposed to hold a forum of think tanks "Central Asia - Germany" next year in the nation's Khiva, the president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at the second summit of "Central Asia - Germany," TurkicWorld reports.
Mirziyoyev pointed out the forging of a strategic regional partnership between Central Asia and Germany, which aligns with the shared goals of fostering stability, sustainable development, and the prosperity of the region.
"We consider it expedient to adopt a long-term concept of development of our partnership with program measures in priority areas. For the development of this document, we propose to consider the possibility of establishing a forum of think tanks "Central Asia - Germany". The annual meetings of the foreign ministers of our countries also play an important role in preparing the agenda of our summits," he said.
To note, the second meeting of the leaders of Central Asian countries and Germany was held in Astana.
In the course of the summit, the matters of advancing and strengthening the multifaceted partnership between the countries of the region and Germany were put under the microscope.
Special attention was paid to the expansion of practical cooperation in trade and economics, investment, technology, transport and communication, and other priority areas. Joint meetings with the heads of leading German companies and banks were also held.
Following the summit, a joint declaration of the heads of Central Asian states and Germany was adopted.
