An event dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s state independence was held at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
Compatriots working in the United States, as well as representatives of diplomatic corps from different countries, participated in the event.
Ulugbek Lapasov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the UN, congratulated all those present on the holiday – the Independence Day of Uzbekistan. He noted that in recent years, large-scale reforms have been implemented in Uzbekistan, preferences have been created for foreign investors, and at the same time, the status of the Uzbek diaspora in the United States has been increasing.
The national songs performed at this meeting put everyone in a special mood.
It should be noted that the events dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s state independence will continue in the United States until September 9. In connection with this date, a mass march is planned to be organized on September 1 along Wall Street in Manhattan.
