Baku. TurkicWorld:

Abu Dhabi Sustainable Water Solutions (SWS) and Uzsuvtaminot, Uzbekistan's water management company, have signed an agreement on the joint implementation of a wastewater treatment facility in the Kuyichirchik district of Tashkent region, TurkicWorld reports.

The document was inked in the presence of Laziz Kudratov, Uzbekistan's Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade.

The project will be carried out by a consortium that includes France's SUEZ and Japan's Marubeni, selected for their technological expertise by Abu Dhabi Sustainable Water Solutions (SWS).

The new facility is set to have an initial capacity of 1 million cubic meters per day, with plans to increase to 1.5 million cubic meters. The project also involves constructing a 42-kilometer wastewater collector to enhance the efficient collection and transportation of wastewater for treatment.

The installation of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) will enable effective monitoring and management of the wastewater processes.

Officials stated that this initiative will provide centralized wastewater management for the Tashkent region, improving public health and environmental conditions while saving over 10 million kWh of electricity.
