On January 10, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Madrakhimov met with the UK’s Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office Leo Docherty.

The parties exchanged views on the state and promising directions for deepening the Uzbekistan – British dialogue in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, and other spheres and discussed the schedule of upcoming joint events.

In recent years, relations between Uzbekistan and the UK have been intensively developing, and mutually beneficial partnerships on all aspects of the agenda are progressively expanding. It was emphasized that economic diplomacy is considered one of the key components of bilateral cooperation.

Deputy heads of the two countries’ foreign ministries also discussed current international and regional issues.
