Tbilisi hosts Uzbekistan – Georgia Inter-MFA Political Consultations

On December 5, regular political consultations between the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Georgia took place in Tbilisi.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the Uzbekistan delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bobur Usmanov, and the delegation of Georgia was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Khvtisiashvili.

The current state of bilateral relations was reviewed at the meeting, and prospects for enhancing interaction in political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and other areas of mutual interest were discussed.

During the talks, special attention was paid to strengthening collaboration in tourism, culture, and education.

In connection with the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Georgia, to be celebrated in 2024, an agreement was reached to develop a plan of joint events to celebrate this significant date.

Views were exchanged on current issues of a regional and international nature.
