Tashkent hosts hackathon “TechGenius”

Uza. The “TechGenius” hackathon was held at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the National Office for Innovation and Technology Transfer, IT Park, Phystech.Genesis and HACKONNECT.

Young developers, designers, and students took part in the event, which promoted the development of innovative solutions. The moderator was the Founder of Phystech.Genesis Evgeny Anikin and the mentors were experts from different companies.

Participants had to explore new ideas and technologies within 48 hours and develop innovative projects that could solve complex problems in these areas.

Most of the selected participants have experience in programming and design, and some are related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science.

The event was organized as part of the joint project “Unlocking Opportunities for Youth Economic Empowerment through Digitalization”, implemented by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and UNDP and funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. Specialists responsible for the innovative activities of network associations, banks, and large companies took part as guests.

The winners in each direction were awarded electronic gadgets.
