Tashkent is ready for the Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization

Uza. On 8-9 November, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will chair the 16th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Tashkent.

Tashkent is ready to host this prestigious event.

The Summit will be attended by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, and Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Khusrav Noziri.

Today, on November 8, delegations will start arriving in Tashkent. The President will hold bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations. In particular, today, talks are planned to be held with the presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye, the Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, and the ECO Secretary General.

The high-level meeting will be held tomorrow, November 9. It is planned to hold several bilateral meetings within its framework.

It should be noted that Uzbekistan is consistently cooperating with its partners in this structure. Uzbekistan, in particular, pays special attention to enhancing trade-economic and investment relations. The country considers the development of transport corridors and industrial cooperation in the region, effective use of existing opportunities, and creation of new directions as essential issues.
