Indorama Corporation implements new projects in Fergana region

Uza. The delegation in Uzbekistan, led by the Chairman of Singapore’s Indorama Corporation, Sri Prakash Lohia, visited Fergana region.

Members of the delegation first visited Indorama Kokand Fertilizers and Chemicals JSC in the city of Kokand and got acquainted with its activities.

In 2019, to diversify the activities of Kokand Superphosphate Plant, 96 percent of its shares were sold to Indorama Corporation, and large-scale modernization work was carried out. As a result, production capacity increased from 75,000 tons to 350,000 tons per year. Modern equipment from leading companies in Spain, the United States, Russia, Türkiye, India, and China was also installed. Today, high-quality mineral fertilizers for the agricultural sector are produced here.

Products manufactured at the Indorama Kokand Textile, the first project of the Indorama Corporation in Fergana region, are popular in the world market due to their high quality. 50 thousand tons of yarn are produced here. More than a thousand residents are provided with work.

– Uzbekistan is our close and reliable friend, – said Sri Prakash Lohia, Chairman of Indorama Corporation. – The support provided by your President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to investors like us is essential to us. Your country is developing rapidly. We began to invest in agribusiness and other areas. We are planning to implement many more projects in your country. This is the primary purpose of our visit today.

Members of the Indorama Corporation delegation also visited Fargonaazot JSC and got acquainted with modernization projects.
