Uza. As part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Russian Federation, Tatarstan hosted the Third Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia.
The forum was also attended by a delegation of Samarkand region led by the Regional Hokim Erkinjon Turdimov.
Representatives of the Hokimiyat of Samarkand region, the regional department of investment, industry, and trade, the regional territorial department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as more than 20 businesspeople, held talks to establish mutually beneficial partnerships with the regions of the Russian Federation.
Within two days, agreements were reached on bilateral cooperation with Russian entrepreneurs in medicine, education, textile, and light industry.
During the delegation’s visit, agreements worth $202 million were signed, including $152 million in investment and $50 million in exports.
