Special recognition of the experience of New Uzbekistan in achieving green development

Uza.Tashkent hosted an international event on “Green Development: New Experience of Uzbekistan and World Trends”.

Foreign experts presented their lectures on several relevant issues. In particular, Boris Erg, Director of the IUCN Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, touched upon issues of environmental protection, conservation of biological diversity, expansion of protected natural areas, rational use of natural resources, cooperation in green restoration and combating climate change.

In his report, he also focused on cooperation within the framework of joint grant projects, such as the restoration of the food system, land use and ecosystems in Uzbekistan, sustainable forest management in the mountainous and lowland regions of the country, increasing the adaptability of the landscape to the occurrence of zoonoses by strengthening the environmental system in Central Asia.

It should be added that during the event, the experience of New Uzbekistan in achieving green development received special recognition. It was also noted that it is necessary to fully adapt to world standards, to carry out several other important works in environmental protection.
