Uza. The rich program of the historic visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Italian Republic has ended.

The President of Uzbekistan held fruitful talks in Rome with the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. A Joint Declaration was adopted on the establishment of a strategic partnership between the two countries.

A meeting was also held with the Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Qu Dongyu.

The visit continued with business events in Milan. Here, the President received the Lombardy Governor Attilio Fontana, held a roundtable discussion with representatives of large Italian businesses, and visited an exhibition of textile machinery.

Following the visit, Lombardy Governor Attilio Fontana and other officials saw off the President of Uzbekistan at Milan Malpensa Airport. The President departed for Tashkent.
