ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 8. Russian President Vladimir Putin will embark on a working visit to Turkmenistan at the invitation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said during a briefing, TurkicWorld reports
"The President is scheduled for a working visit to Ashgabat on October 11, at the invitation of the President of Turkmenistan," he said.
The main purpose of the visit will be Putin's participation in the international forum called "Interconnection of Times and Civilizations – The Basis of Peace and Development."
Leaders from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and other nations are set to show up at the event.
Ushakov noted that from Turkmenistan's vantage point, this event serves as a meeting platform for world leaders to exchange ideas and opinions on the evolution of diplomatic ties and other pressing political, economic, and humanitarian concerns.
