ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 7. Turkmenistan ranks among the top ten countries with the lowest diesel fuel prices as of September 2, 2024, TurkicWorld reports via the Global Petrol Prices (GPP).
The GPP portal reports that diesel fuel in Turkmenistan costs $0.0286 per liter. This places Turkmenistan alongside several other countries with affordable diesel prices, including Venezuela, which has the lowest price at $0.004 per liter.
The list of countries with the lowest diesel fuel prices also features Iran, Libya, Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Ecuador.
Conversely, the highest diesel fuel prices are found in countries such as the Wallis and Futuna Islands, Singapore, Israel, Albania, Switzerland, the Central African Republic, Liechtenstein, Monaco, and Hong Kong, with the latter being the most expensive at $3.136 per liter.
As of September 2, 2024, the average price of diesel worldwide stands at $1.22 per liter. These variations in diesel fuel prices are largely attributed to different national fuel taxation structures and subsidies policies.
