BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 26. Zahra Pezeshkian has sent a congratulatory letter to First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva on the occasion of her birthday.
In her message, Pezeshkian addressed Mehriban Aliyeva as her “dear and kind sister” and extended her sincere congratulations and best wishes.
She praised the Azerbaijani first vice-president’s activities in the social, cultural and international spheres, describing her work as distinguished, wise and dedicated.
“Your outstanding, wise and dedicated activities in the social, cultural and international spheres have always been a source of inspiration and pride,” the congratulatory message said.
Pezeshkian also highlighted the deep-rooted friendship and fraternity between Iran and Azerbaijan, describing the two countries as neighbours, friends and brothers.
She particularly emphasised the important role played by women from both countries in preserving and strengthening the shared heritage of friendship between the Azerbaijani and Iranian peoples.
Pezeshkian wished Mehriban Aliyeva a long and prosperous life, good health and continued success.
She also wished progress and prosperity to Azerbaijan, describing it as a friendly and brotherly country.
