BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. Azerbaijan and the United States have discussed prospects for further development of their strategic partnership.
According to information released by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions took place on August 10 during a meeting between Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov and Andrew Stowe, First Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the US Department of State.
The sides exchanged views on the current state of Azerbaijan-US bilateral relations and their future development, highlighting the importance of expanding cooperation across a wide range of areas.
The meeting focused particularly on the implementation of the Strategic Partnership Charter between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of the United States, as well as the outcomes of the Baku Economic Dialogue.
The officials also discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest and confirmed their readiness to continue close cooperation and consultations on matters aimed at promoting peace, security and prosperity.
