BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 17, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, Mikayil Cabbarov, met with the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his visit to Uzbekistan for the 15th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation.
Cabbarov shared the meeting on his social media account, stating that he conveyed greetings from President Ilham Aliyev to Mirziyoyev, who in turn sent greetings to President Aliyev. The Uzbek President expressed confidence that the friendship and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan will continue to develop successfully.
Cabbarov noted that, thanks to the political will and joint efforts of both heads of state, bilateral relations have reached a qualitatively new stage. He highlighted the importance of diversifying economic cooperation, actively promoting trade and investment initiatives, and strengthening business ties between the two countries.
