BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 12. On June 12, 2025, in Astana (Kazakhstan), President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova attended the 14th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TÜRKPA), held under the theme “TURKTIME: The Role of Parliamentary Diplomacy”, TurkicWorld reports.
The purpose of the session was to further strengthen interparliamentary cooperation among the countries of the Turkic World, define common strategic goals, and reinforce the political, economic, cultural, and legal foundations of unity within the framework of the TURKTIME concept.
Speaking at the session Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova emphasized the importance of such platforms that contribute to the strengthening of the spiritual unity of the Turkic world. She noted that reviving and passing on our centuries-old shared cultural heritage to future generations is the core mission of the Foundation. Describing parliamentary diplomacy as a bridge that safeguards the rich Turkic legacy, Mrs. Raimkulova highlighted that such cooperation enhances trust and solidarity among the Turkic states and serves as a powerful impetus for stability and progress throughout the Turkic world.
The session, chaired by the Speaker of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Yerlan Koshanov, was attended by the Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Maulen Ashimbayev, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mrs. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Türkiye Mr. Numan Kurtulmuş, and Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Nuriddin Ismoilov, as well as representatives of the parliamentary delegations of member and observer states, Turkic cooperation organizations, international structures, and other partner institutions.
