AGHDAM, Azerbaijan, November 7. The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade has addressed the world’s religious leaders from the Aghdam Juma Mosque, TurkicWorld Karabakh bureau reports.
This issue was discussed during his conversation with participants of the Global Summit of Religious Leaders at the mosque.
Pashazade asked the religious leaders to convey to the world the information about the ruins seen by them in Azerbaijan's Karabakh, the Armenian atrocities, acts of vandalism, and events of genocide.
"We only ask one thing from you: to tell the world the truth about what you saw here, so that these horrors do not fall upon other people. The Aghdam Juma Mosque is a historic mosque. Armenians kept pigs here. This was their attitude towards religion, towards Islam. Thank God, Azerbaijan put an end to this," he added.
To note, participants of the Global Baku Summit of World Religious Leaders under the motto "World Religions for a Green Planet," held within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, have started their visit to Karabakh.
The delegation touched down at Fuzuli International Airport by plane.
During the visit, the guests will take a deep dive into the rich tapestry of cultural, spiritual, and historical heritage woven into the fabric of Aghdam and Shusha. The Jamaat Namaz (collective namaz) was performed in Aghdam's Juma Mosque with the participation of world religious leaders.
