BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Fuad Hussein have held a telephone conversation today, TurkicWorld reports.
In the course of the telephone conversation, the current situation in the Middle East, growing tension in the region, as well as issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries, were discussed.
Minister Fuad Hussein gave a detailed briefing on the latest developments in the region, noting that the expansion of the conflict is a matter of serious concern.
The Iraqi side was apprised of the latest preparations for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which our country will host in a few days, and possible areas of cooperation were touched upon.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
