BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 8. Azerbaijani parliament's session has approved a number of new agreements with Belarus, TurkicWorld reports.
The session addressed draft legislation concerning the ratification of protocols for additions and revisions to the agreements established on May 2, 2007, regarding cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Belarus in veterinary, quarantine, and plant protection matters.
The documents were put up for vote and approved.
To note, the agreements lay the groundwork for tightening the bonds between the veterinary authorities of Azerbaijan and Belarus, paving the way for measures to nip the spread of animal diseases in the bud. This includes rolling out systems to keep a finger on the pulse of the epizootic situation and ensuring mutual information flows like water under the bridge.
