BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 30. Parliament’s autumn session coincides with some of the most glorious periods in Azerbaijan's history. Four years ago, in the autumn of 2020, and again last September, the heroic Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, under the leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, delivered decisive blows to the enemy, putting an end to the 30-year occupation of our lands, Speaker of the Parliament, Sahiba Gafarova, said during today's parliamentary session, TurkicWorld reports.
She noted that just a few days earlier, on September 27, on Remembrance Day, they honored the memory of soldiers and officers who fell in battles for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as innocent civilians and missing compatriots.
"Azerbaijan will forever be grateful to our President, the victorious commander Ilham Aliyev, and our brave soldiers and officers who gifted our people a historic victory over the enemy," Gafarova said.
