BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 24. The Western Azerbaijani Community strongly condemns another anti-Azerbaijani bill submitted on September 18, 2024, by pro-Armenian Congressman Adam Schiff, known for his anti-Azerbaijani stance in the US Congress, the statement of the Western Azerbaijani Community said,TurkicWorld reports.
"The bill is a provocative and erroneous step both in name and content. Adam Schiff's traditional anti-Azerbaijani stance and corrupt ties to the Armenian lobby, such as another Azerbaijanophobe steeped in corruption, former Senator Bob Menendez, seriously question his integrity. Given that Karabakh Armenians have rejected the Azerbaijani state's offers of reintegration and citizenship and have freely left the country, this bill by Schiff is based on slander," the Community stated.
As the statement notes, Adam Schiff ignored and even supported the forced eviction as a result of the ethnic cleansing of 300,000 Azerbaijanis from Armenia and 700,000 Azerbaijanis from the territories of Azerbaijan that were under occupation for a long time, as well as hundreds of billions of dollars worth of damage to the property, economy, and cultural heritage of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis.
"All this demonstrates that the submitted bill is an attempt to blackmail Azerbaijan. This step is also aimed at dealing a serious blow to US-Azerbaijani relations," the statement of the Community reads.
