BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 24. Azerbaijan has laid the foundation for the agenda to normalize relations with Armenia, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during his speech at the Future Summit, organized at the UN Headquarters as part of his participation in the "High-Level Week" of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, TurkicWorld reports.
"Azerbaijan has laid the foundation for the agenda to normalize relations with Armenia, based on mutual recognition and respect for each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity in the post-conflict period," the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister noted.
Bayramov emphasized that Azerbaijan has entered a new era, having restored its rights to sovereignty and territorial integrity, protected by the UN Charter.
"Building on the progress achieved during bilateral negotiations, we call for urgent steps to remove the remaining obstacles, emphasizing the importance of demonstrating the necessary political will and responsibility," he added.
