BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 18. Despite the ongoing efforts to foster positive dynamics and explore cooperation prospects, the biased opinions from certain US officials negatively impact bilateral relations, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a meeting with a delegation led by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Joshua Hack, TurkicWorld reports.
Bayramov referred specifically to anti-Azerbaijani comments made by Deputy Administrator of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) for Policy and Programming Isobel Coleman during her recent visit to the Armenian embassy in the US.
He noted that such statements disrespect Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty and aim to distort facts related to counter-terrorism efforts that ended the illegal presence of Armenian Armed Forces on Azerbaijan's sovereign territory.
