Azerbaijan's anti-terrorist measures put end to Armenian separatism - political analyst

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 18. Anti-terrorist measures carried out by Azerbaijan last September put an end to Armenian separatism that had been lasting for many years, political analyst Azer Garayev told TurkicWorld

He noted that in less than 24 hours the Azerbaijani army completely disarmed illegal Armenian armed formations in the region.

"Professionalism and swiftness of the Azerbaijani army's actions can be considered as an example in military history. The result of these localized measures was the collapse of the so-called regime and the complete failure of Armenia's revanchist intentions," Garayev said.

Garayev also noted that the failure of the Armenian side to fulfill its obligations under the Trilateral Statement of November 2020 has jeopardized all efforts to ensure peace. Despite Azerbaijan's repeated appeals for peace, the Armenian side ignored these appeals, making revanchist plans.

"The terrorist attacks in September 2023, which resulted in the death of two civilians and four policemen, overflowed the cup of patience, and anti-terrorist measures were launched. The victory of the Azerbaijani army in a short time restored the full sovereignty of Azerbaijan over Karabakh and put an end to Armenian separatism," the political analyst added.
