BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 11. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov today received Kuwaiti Ambassador Abdullah Muhammad Almauidi in connection with the completion of his diplomatic activity in the country, TurkicWorld reports, referring to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
According to the information, issues on the agenda of cooperation between the two countries were discussed during the meeting.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed gratitude to Ambassador Abdullah Muhammad Almauidi for his efforts to develop cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kuwait and wished him success in his future activities. It was noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with friendly and brotherly Kuwait, and the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation over the years is gratifying.
Furthermore, the importance of intensification of activity of the joint cooperation commission between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Kuwait towards further development of bilateral cooperation covering various spheres, including economy, trade, investment, tourism, etc. was emphasized . Notedly, the increasing dynamics of reciprocal visits between our peoples is a logical outcome of our connections at the governmental level. In particular, the UN, the Organization of Islamic collaboration, and the Gulf Cooperation Council were highlighted as crucial frameworks for maintaining mutual support and collaboration. Throughout Azerbaijan's nearly 30-year occupation of its territory, Kuwait supported Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and this was highly appreciated.
Ambassador Abdullah Muhammad Almauidi expressed gratitude for the reception on the occasion of the completion of diplomatic activity in our country, as well as good wishes, and expressed confidence that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kuwait will continue to develop.
The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest at the meeting.
