BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 11. The regular meeting of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan was held under the chairmanship of Mazahir Panahov on September 10, 2024, TurkicWorld reports.
The minutes of the commission's meeting dated September 9, 2024 were first approved.
Then, the appeals received by the Central Election Commission in connection with the extraordinary election to the Azerbaijani Parliament held on September 1, 2024, were considered.
At the meeting, which was promptly covered by media representatives, detailed information about the appeals was first presented. It was emphasized that representatives of international observation missions, media representatives, and interested subjects were provided with all opportunities for close participation in the process of comprehensive, objective, and transparent study of the appeals and information received.
To more effectively ensure the electoral rights of citizens, after a broad discussion by the members of the commission of the appeals submitted to the meeting within the terms and following the procedure stipulated by the legislation, appropriate decisions were made.
The Central Election Commission also considered current issues at the meeting.
