BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 4. Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Igor Nazaruk, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said, TurkicWorld reports.
During the meeting it was especially emphasized that the dialogue at the highest level gave an important impetus to the expansion of cooperation between the two countries, strengthening the existing strategic partnership relations and developing dynamic cooperation.
The issues of cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as in international and regional organizations, regional security issues, as well as other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
The activities of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Belarus in deepening bilateral economic ties, identifying new promising areas of cooperation were especially noted.
It was emphasized that there are favorable opportunities for new areas of cooperation within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
Along with this, an exchange of views on the legal framework between the two countries took place.
