BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 2. We congratulate Azerbaijan on the democratic and transparent holding of the extraordinary parliamentary elections held the previous day, the Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić said during a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, TurkicWorld reports.
He mentioned that today's discussions were very productive and useful.
"Cooperation between the two countries is growing every year and we are interested in expanding it. Serbia will play a very active role in COP29. We want to participate in the initiatives put forward by Azerbaijan.
Marko Đurić also mentioned that Serbia will continue to support Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty, emphasizing that all countries of the world can benefit from the basic principles of international law.
"We want to be Azerbaijan's reliable partner in Eastern Europe and for our partnership to become even stronger. To strengthen cooperation between the Azerbaijani and Serbian people, our economic relations should grow," he added.
