DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, August 9. President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has proposed to hold the first meeting of industry ministers of Central Asian countries next year in Dushanbe, TurkicWorld reports via the Tajik president's press office.
President Rahmon made the statement at the 6th Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of State in Astana.
According to the press service, Rahmon highlighted the value of hosting the annual "Expo - Central Asia" in conjunction with the consultative meetings. He emphasized that enhancing cooperation in e-commerce, digital technologies, and green energy is crucial for advancing the green economy in the region.
Additionally, the president proposed developing new, effective forms of cooperation in the field of security.
In his speech, the head of Tajikistan addressed the expansion of trade and economic ties, the development of programs in agriculture and industry, the introduction of new technologies, the execution of major transport, infrastructure, and logistics projects, the effective use of hydropower resources, and cooperation in cultural and humanitarian areas, among other important topics.
