SHUSHA, Azerbaijan, July 22. Illegal nuclear tests have been conducted in French Polynesia for 30 years, said International Advisor on Governance Carlyle Corbin at a side event of the Baku Initiative Group during the 2nd Shusha Global Media Forum, TurkicWorld reports.
He emphasized that these tests have had a severely negative impact on the environment and the health of local people.
"Although the French authorities are obligated to compensate for the damage, they categorically refuse to do so," he added.
The 2nd Shusha Global Media Forum has attracted 150 foreign guests from 49 countries, including state news agencies from 34 countries, 12 international organizations and media outlets, and 60 leaders and representatives from local media.
